MediaFork, the new Handbrake.

Handbrake, a DVD ripping and encoding in one fell swoop program, has been a favorite application of mine. It make the task of archiving one of your DVD's to a file a simple one step task where it previously took several programs. Handbrake also took out virtually all of the complicated nature of ripping and encoding your DVD's compared to other solutions.

Handbrake has not been actively developed for many months now. I had looked in the forums from time to time and there was talk of development. However, it now looks as though Handbrake is finished. But MediaFork is born. MediaFork is taking over the Handbrake project and continuing it with new development.

Here are some screenshots I took while taking MediaFork for a test drive.

When you insert a DVD, this is the first screen you see. It is asking you if you want it to select the DVD or select a previously ripped DVD from your drive.
